In Aspendos is the best-preserved ancient theater in Asia Minor, which in ancient times could accommodate up to 20.000 visitors; nowadays a maximum of 10.000 visitors fit in the theatre. Ballet and opera performances as well as classical and pop concerts take place here in the summer months. Various performances are now also taking place in the ancient theaters of Side and Phaselis.
