Description

Levada hike in the Valley of the Mimosas

One of the most beautiful levada hikes takes you through lush green vegetable terraces to remote valleys with fantastic views of the valley of Maroços and the north-east coast of the island. You will pass lovingly landscaped gardens, a mimosa and acacia grove and get to know exotic fruits such as passion fruit, guava and anona. A special highlight awaits you in spring, when numerous white and blue flowers of the African love flower (Agaphantus) accompany the path.
