Description
Certainly a special way to get to know your vacation island
Remote paths, fantastic views, villages untouched by tourism and, above all, a touch of adventure - this is what awaits you on a trip in an off-road vehicle.
First you will be taken by jeep or bus to the starting point in Gouvia and from there you will start following a narrow road to the peaceful settlement of Poulades surrounded by lush green countryside.
Crossing the north-eastern part of the Ropavalley wetland, we head to the traditional village of Doukades and from there to Aleimatades. The village is situated in the mountainous north-west region of the island and offers fantastic views of Corfu town and the entire east coast.
The route then continues over the Troumpeta Pass on a gravel road through untouched nature, along the slopes of Mount Pantokrator, the island's highest peak. Far from paved roads, the route leads through typical Corfiot villages to Strinilas. Here, you'll have the opportunity to stop for lunch at a traditional tavern (not included).
After a break, we continue to Paleo Perithia – one of the oldest stone settlements on the island and a World Heritage Site. Isolated and surrounded by the scent of wild oregano, sage, and thyme, the village seems like a window into the past.
Following the old local serpentine road, the route leads through Lafki, Petalia and Spartillas, past ancient olive trees, along a picturesque panoramic road back to Gouvia.
