WINDOW OF THE NUBLO
Herbal and medicinal plant studies on the rise to the symbol of the island
Make your way to the window of Roque Nublo, with panoramic views of this natural giant and through the forests of Llanos de la Pez - one of the most beautiful hiking tours in Gran Canaria.
Our hike begins at the Llanos de la Pez campsite, at 1.700m above sea level, where we begin the slow ascent to the Ventana del Nublo.
Through a dense pine forest with a wide variety of vegetation, we soon reach the summit of our ascent and can already see Roque Nublo from afar, offering breathtaking views of the neighboring island of Tenerife and Mount Teide, at 3718 meters the highest mountain in Spain. The impressive views while trekking through this area are simply breathtaking.
Along an old "camino real" (real path) we hike, a variety of herbs and medicinal plants grow, about which you will receive detailed information. We arrive on the plateau below the Ventana del Nublo. During the hike in this region of Gran Canaria, you will also see Tejeda, a very well-known tomato village with many terraced cultivation systems.
You can feel the absolute uniqueness of one of the most beautiful hikes in the Canary Islands.
After our picnic, we continue our descent to arrive back at the Llanos de la Pez campsite.

FALKEN GORGE
Discover volcanic landscapes and the most fertile corners of the island - in the jungle-like northeast, through the valley of the birds of prey to the cave village
Due to its isolation in the north-east of Gran Canaria and the special minerals found in the lava, vegetation has been preserved in the youngest part of the island that can hardly be discovered anywhere else. A small stream flows down the valley all year round and waterfalls form again and again, supplying the sometimes jungle-like vegetation with moisture.
Due to the many lizards and mice, there are also many hawks and buzzards living in Lomo Magullo. Birds of prey are rather difficult to feed, but the lizards that live there are so used to visitors that you can feed them by hand! Definitely a highlight of your tour.

BANDAMA CRATER HIKE
Through the most famous wine-growing region of Gran Canaria and to the only inhabited crater on the island
The hike starts at the highest point of the volcano, a viewing platform. After being overwhelmed by the breathtaking view for a few seconds, you will learn all about the formation of this unique crater. As you descend into the crater, you will also discover that this is the only inhabited volcano on our island. Due to the unique location and isolation of this place, you will come across fantastic vegetation, large lizard colonies and many vineyards throughout the area. This hiking area is known for a special endemic grape variety called "Listán Negro" and "Listán Blanco". Slightly hidden in the crater you will also find two caves that you can explore a little during a short lunch break. From here you hike back up for about 45 minutes and stop off at a typical local bar for a drink or coffee.

LAUREL FOREST
Breathtaking nature and views on one of the most beautiful and greenest hikes in Gran Canaria
The last laurel forests in the north are like a jungle from prehistoric times and are located in the Doramas Natural Park. Your hike begins with a descent through a densely vegetated gorge, continuing through fairytale landscapes, with fantastic views from the Jungfrau Valley, over the Camel Pass to the Zumacal gorge, where you then take a break for lunch.
You hike, admire and enjoy the view of the unique endemic flora below you and begin the climb after the picnic. You hike through a deep and lush gorge with huge eucalyptus trees along lemon and orange orchards back to the starting point. In winter there is also the opportunity to snack on blackberries.
