Description
One of the most famous photo motifs in Portugal are the rocks of the Ponta da Piedade near Lagos, which were formed by the forces of nature. They are best viewed from the water side.
The Via Sagres takes you from the port of Lagos out to sea (approx. 2 hours), along the impressive coastline to the grottos of Ponta da Piedade. Here, you'll cruise through the bizarre world of caves and past rock formations (weather permitting), some of which appear like works of art with different motifs.
